When you think of the Star Wars franchise and what makes it iconic, the first things that come to mind is the famous Yoda and the heroic Jedi with their war against the Sith, and of course their powerful lightsabres, I always imagined myself having a purple one had I suddenly woken up as a Jedi.
Another thing that Star Wars is famous for is its chaotic space battles, Epic Games is this week giving you the chance to experience what it’s like to pilot one of the ships and partake in multiplayer space dogfights with Star Wars: Squadrons which will be free (originally R649.95) from Thursday the 24th of November as part of the weekly giveaways that Epic Games has been running.
Free from 24 November until 1 December 2022:

In Star Wars: Squadrons, players step into the cockpits of starfighters from both the New Republic and Imperial fleets and fight in strategic 5v5 space battles. From X-wings to TIE fighters, players can modify their starfighters to suit their playstyle. The game also features a thrilling single-player story which is set after the events of Return of the Jedi.
The weekly free games from Epic are usually smaller name titles with the occasional big name every now and then, Star Wars: Squadrons is the only game being offered this coming week and is definitely a big-name title to add to your library.
It’s also your last chance to grab the current free games from Epic which are currently available until Thursday. Dark Deity and Evil Dead: The Game are the two games currently free on the Epic store, we spoke a bit more about them last week and you can read about them here.
