Following this past week’s release of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, fans were treated to more than just an excuse to dust their Nintendo Switches off. The long-running franchise, introduced to many when they were just kids, is now on its ninth generation of games and to celebrate, Nintendo introduced the world to the 1000th Pokémon.
Nintendo also made sure that Pokémon number 1000 would also be something special. Called Gholdengo, the Pokémon is an evolved form of ghost-type Gimmighou and is made up of 1000 coins. According to its Pokédex, Gholdengo gets along well with others and is quick to make friends. Players who want to grab this little cutie for themselves will need to collect 999 Gimmighoul coins (found throughout Paldea).

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is one of the most ambitious entries into the franchise. However, as of today, it seems like the game’s performance on the Nintendo Switch is dragging the game down, with many players taking to social media to express their grievances with the game’s many glitches and bugs.
We at NAG plan to jump into the game this week and then share our opinions with you, and hopefully, any game-breaking bugs will be fixed with patches over the next few days and weeks.
