It’s a Christmas miracle! The CD Projekt Red just announced that the much anticipated next-gen patcher for The Witcher 3 would arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC on the 14th of December. The timing couldn’t be better either, now that many fans are reeling at Geralt being recast in the Netflix series.
The next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming on December 14th, free for everyone who already owns the game.

Players who already own the base game will get the patch, and the included upgraded visuals, DLC packs, and Netflix-inspired content drops for free. CD Projekt Red also shared that players can expect ray-traced graphics and faster loading times.
Players who own the game on PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch should also be getting in on some of the action. CD Projekt Red has said there would be an update for those consoles, with numerous improvements alongside new Netflix-inspired content. However, there has yet to be a date set for this update to arrive as of now.
