By now, anyone who has jumped into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will have noticed that one of the standout features of the franchise is missing. Over the last few days, players have taken to social media to air their disappointment that the hardcore playlist is seemingly non-existent, So much so that it prompted an official response.
Infinity Ward has confirmed via a blog post that players will still receive a Hardcore mode. This time around, it will be called Tier 1 and will only arrive alongside the start of Season 01. This means players can look forward to jumping into their favourite mode from November 16 when Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 lunches.
While we’ve mentioned Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, it will be a free-to-play battle royale game with a twist. Alongside the usual battle royale mechanics, the game will also include a new extraction mode called DMZ.

For anyone new to the franchise who might not know, The Tier 1 playlist will offer players a more challenging game experience where players have less health, friendly fire is always on, and fewer HUD elements. Tier 1 is one of many new additions to the game in November. Players can also look forward to the new DMZ mode being added and the return of a fan-favourite map.
In December, Infinity Ward will release Season 01 Reloaded, introducing raids to the game and adding additional multiplayer maps.
