Here’s something I had just about given up on hearing about in my lifetime. After years and years and years and years, players might finally be on the verge of a new Silent Hill game or maybe a reboot of an old beloved one. No one is really sure and let none of us forgets the time Konami also teased a new Silent Hill game only to reveal a pinball machine…
But, apprehension aside, Konami has just announced (via Twitter) a super special ” Silent Hill Transmission” stream is set for this week. While Konami has not explicitly told us what will be showcased during the event (a classic Konami move), according to their Twitter, they will be delving into the latest updates for the Silent Hill series.
In your restless dreams, do you see that town?
The latest updates for the SILENT HILL series, will be revealed during the #SILENTHILL Transmission on Wednesday, October 19th, at 2:00 PM. PDThttps://t.co/18sulbhIaR

This is exciting news for everyone eagerly anticipating a new game, but fans should approach with caution, after all, who could forget the infamous “Silent Hills” project where both Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus were going to be involved? There was even a massively successful demo for the game known as P.T., but then it was pulled almost as fast as it arrived, and the entire project was scrapped alongside it.
A lot is riding on this Silent Hill Transmission. After almost two years of constant rumours, fans are more than ready to dive back into their favourite horror franchise, which comes with some highly significant expectations. If the rumour mill is to be believed, part of the stream will be dedicated to showing off a remake of Silent Hill 2, a game which is reportedly in development by the Polish developer Bloober Team.
The Silent Hill Transmission stream will go live on October 19th at 11:00 pm CAT.
