After a COVID hiatus, Africa’s biggest LAN (Local Area Network) is back! It’s time to meet up with those friends you’ve been jamming with online as the rAge Expo 2022 sets the scene for the epic return of the NAG BYOC (bring-your-own-computer/console) LAN.
The BYOC LAN has been part of rAge since its inception, starting out in the middle of the expo floor as an attraction with 200 odd gamers. Over the years it’s morphed and changed in unexpected and incredible ways.
For the gamers, it’s a place where you can gather with your mates and community members and put a face to the online names and get to really know the people you’ve been talking to and playing with for years.
The three-day twenty-four-hour gaming celebration will take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre from the 9th to the 11th of December.
This year there will be organised tournaments, more information on these to come soon, and spot prizes up for grabs inside the LAN itself.
We’ve also secured a monster 30Gbps internet connection thanks to Clear Access.
A BYOC ticket will get you:
• Full weekend access to the 2022 rAge Expo
• A chair and a shared table (between 2 people)
• Two dedicated plug outlets to power your PC/console and monitor
• Internet connection
• Network infrastructure, which includes one network cable
You will just need to bring your gaming rig – PC/console/laptop, monitor, keyboard/gamepad, mouse, headphones.
Since rAge is celebrating its 20th birthday this year, each LAN attendee will also get:
• 1 free day pass to rAge Expo at the value of R170 that you can give to a family member or a friend – up to you.
• A R200 voucher from Incredible Connection which can be used at their store over the weekend. This voucher doesn’t require you to buy anything, it’s just R200 you can use however you like.
• Access to LAN tournaments.
• Opportunities to win spot prizes.
A new easy payment option has also been set up allowing you to purchase your ticket over 3 monthly interest-free instalments!
Tickets to the #NAGLAN are on sale now via Howler and does not require any pre-registration to the event.
