In November 2021, Netflix quietly launched Netflix Gaming as part of their regular subscription, supplying mobile games to both iOS and Android. It features IP from Netflix series such as Stranger Things and other mobile games to which they have bought the rights, totalling over 20 ad-free games currently available. Now, a new partnership between Netflix and Ubisoft will see the launch of three new exclusive games that are based on popular Ubisoft titles.
First up is a new Valiant Hearts game that will be launching in January 2023. The game will be a sequel to the award-winning Valiant Hearts: The Great War, but will be directed by the original core team. Releasing later in the year is the fast-paced action RPG, Mighty Quest. Lastly with little info on the release dates we have an Assassins Creed title which may be linked to a live-action TV show that Netflix is currently working on, similar to the Stranger Things game.

Most people are unaware that Netflix even offer games, with very little marketing around the launch, media outlets have been quick to call this a complete flop. They only receive a mere 1.7 million users per day, which is about 1% of their subscribers. This has, however, been an intentional strategy by Netflix while they work out what games their members want to play. Netflix intends on having over 50 games available by 2023. Having purchased 3 gaming studios over the past year, and their new partnership with Ubisoft, they are certainly becoming one to keep an eye on.
