Epic Games has been giving away free games each week for more than three years now and will continue doing so until at least the end of 2022. These are not just your basic games that deserve to be free, some of the big-name titles that Epic has treated us to in the past few months are Borderlands 3, Destiny 2, and most recently Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Available this week from the 15th through to the 22nd of September is Spirit of the North, a third-person adventure game developed by Infuse Studio. Inspired by the breath-taking and mysterious landscapes of Iceland, the story follows a red fox that becomes entwined with the guardian of the Northern Lights, a female spirit fox.
Also available is another adventure game with a retro inspiration called The Captain, developed by Sysiac Games. Travel through the galaxy as you race back to Earth carrying the only thing that can stop the dark forces on their way to destroy our planet.
While these may not be the AAA games you were hoping for, both games have received positive feedback and are worth checking out. They are free after all and you won’t have to wait very long as come the 22nd, both games will be replaced by the next selection of free games from Epic. Stay tuned to NAG for further updates.
