If you’re already a fan of the most unforgiving, addictive little game of death and gold, then you may be excited to hear that you will soon be able to play it anywhere, even at your uncles-cousins-daughter’s birthday party, as the Spelunky franchise drops on the Nintendo Switch last week.
Both Spelunky 1 and Spelunky 2 will be releasing on Switch, and they come packed with all the features, fun and fire that you get on the rest of the platforms.

For those of you who have yet to spelunk where no spelunker has spelunked before Spelunky is a rogue-like platformer where you explore the depths of an infinitely random cave to collect treasures, rescue pets and people, ride a turkey or two and die… a lot. And you can get even more treasure, rescue more pets and people, ride more turkeys, and enjoy more death with up to 3 other spelunkers on couch co-op or online, it’s really the whole package.
Even though it’s one of the hardest games I’ve tried to tackle, there’s something about it that keeps me coming back, it has that “just one more run” energy and you can’t help but succumb to the pressure.
If you’re up for a few laughs, a couple “whaaaatttss??” and many hours of gameplay, keep your eyes peeled on the Nintendo eShop for Spelunky 1 and 2.
