Experiment 101 has confirmed that besides bug fixes, the update also features, uh, mutations of some core game features, including dialogue, video options, and combat.
Biomutant launched on 25 May to divisive reviews. I loved most of it – the game’s uniquely whimsical post-apocalypse is a compelling break from genre conventions, I think, and I’m a sucker for its tactical-cute aesthetic – but other review writers were less impressed. There’s no real consensus on those criticisms, though, with some reviews praising this or that thing, for example, and others complaining about them. I guess it’s up to the devs now to choose what’s actually important.
We are working on the pacing of dialogues, narrator settings, difficulty settings, video settings like depth of field and motion blur, loot and enemy tuning as well as sound and combat.

For me, combat improvements are probably the most necessary item on that list. With just two “special” combos for each weapon type, Biomutant’s combat becomes kind of repetitive unless you’re constantly swapping gear – and for a game with a lot of combat, that’s a real problem.
