Destiny 2 Splicer Battle Pass

Destiny 2 begins actual official crossplay beta next week

Some of you may have had a chance to play Destiny 2 together, regardless of platform, with the release of the Season of the Splicer last week, but that was a mistake. Do not speak of it. The actual crossplay beta launches next week.

For a very limited time (from 25 – 27 May), a Vanguard Strikes Cross Play Beta playlist will become available to all Destiny 2 players who want to help test the system and give crossplay a go. Teams in this playlist can be made up of players on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Stadia and you will fight together against wave after wave of Darkness. However, teams will be matchmade, meaning you won’t be able to form a fireteam or send invites to friends. This is just for testing reasons, though. You can probably expect that functionality in the full release.

Complete three strikes in the Vanguard Strikes Cross Play Beta playlist in order to earn a unique Stars Crossed emblem and show everyone what a helpy helperton you are. Full crossplay is expected to be included with Season 15.

To keep you occupied while you wait, the Vault of Glass reopens tomorrow, 22 May, at 19:00 SAST. Vault of Glass is a challenging raid from the original Destiny with a few tweaks to keep veterans interested. If you’re feeling competitive, take part in the 24-hour Contest Mode and try to claim the World First title belt.
