The Lost Symbol

The Lost Symbol will have you thinking everything is a clue like it’s 2006 all over again

Ready your conspiracy theories, it’s time for another elaborate hunt for historically-suspect clues with upcoming bingeworthy series The Lost Symbol. You’ll just have to do it without Tom Hanks this time.

Based on Dan Brown’s bestselling novel of the same name, The Lost Symbol series follows young Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon as he solves “a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy”. Otherwise known as a Tuesday for future Langdon. The series takes place before the events of The Da Vinci Code (adapted to film in 2006) even though the book is set after them, because time doesn’t really mean anything – the joy of symbology is forever.

This time around, Langdon is played by Ashley Zukerman (Succession) and the rest of the cast includes Eddie Izzard (Hannibal), Valorie Curry (The Following), Sumalee Montano (Star Trek: Picard), Beau Knapp (L.A.’s Finest), and Rick Gonzalez (Arrow). The series is executive produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, who also worked together on The Da Vinci Code.

There is no official release date for The Lost Symbol, yet, but it’s coming to NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service “soon”.
