Showmax has confirmed its launch schedule of new Adult Swim content for May and June, featuring Rick and Morty, YOLO: Crystal Fantasy, Tigtone, and more.
Season five of Rick and, Rick and, and M-M-Morty is out on Monday, 21 June, but in the meantime, subscribers can get schwifty with the “new and original 8-bit animated adventure” special Rick and Mortal in the Eternal Nightmare Machine that debuted over a week ago on 1 May and I didn’t even know about it because I’m the worst and missed the PR email.
Other new Adult Swim shows in the queue:
YOLO: CRYSTAL FANTASY
Meet Sarah and Rachel, “two Australian party girls looking for fun times, new experiences, positive vibes, and hopeful horoscopes in the bizarre town of Wollongong”. Rachel wants to find love, according to the blurb, and “Rachel hungers for chaos”. Are those the same thing, though?
YOLO: Crystal Fantasy season one is out on 17 May.
TIGTONE
It’s a “satirical fantasy” in a universe of “melodramatic ferocity”, but you know what, this show’s description is irrelevant. This promo image is enough to convince me.
Tigtone season one and two are also out on 17 May.
THE ERIC ANDRE SHOW
“Chaotic, unorthodox and surreal comedy chat” with “the world’s most inept and violent host”, the guy from Scrubs. Guests include Seth Rogan, Wiz Khalifa, Judy Greer, and Jimmy Kimmel.
The Eric Andre Show season five is out on 17 May too.
THE BLEEPIN’ ROBOT CHICKEN ARCHIE COMICS SPECIAL
The Robot Chicken gang is back with the most ambitious crossover event in history. Since the Star Wars one, anyway.
The Bleepin’ Robot Chicken Archie Comics Special is out on 24 May.
