New posters for The Green Knight suggest the fox is a main character

So now I’m morally obligated to watch it. If foxes have no power over your entertainment decisions, The Green Knight looks like it’s going to be a rather excellent, and vaguely creepy, fantasy film in general.

The Green Knight, directed by David Lowery (A Ghost Story) and based on 14th-century Arthurian poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, revolves around King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew Gawain (played by Dev Patel) who “embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. Gawain contends with ghosts, giants, thieves, and schemers in what becomes a deeper journey to define his character and prove his worth in the eyes of his family and kingdom by facing the ultimate challenger”.

Other cast members include Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton, Sarita Choudhury, Sean Harris, and Ralph Ineson.

The epic fantasy was meant to come out last year, but that was 2020, so it got moved to 30 July this year. To hype the new release date, they’ve released a bunch of character posters to get us all intrigued. Most importantly, one of a fox with an exceptionally boopable little head.

Fine.
Okay.
Sure, why not.
Cool, I guess.
I JUST WANT TO TOUCH IT
