Call of Duty: Warzone

Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War season closes with lore cinematic

Bring our boy home.

CIA agent Russell Adler is being held hostage and it’s up to Frank Woods and the gang to find him before it’s too late. All “intel points to Verdansk”, so that’s where they’re headed.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone ends on 21 April at 21:00 SAST and Treyarch is promising big changes to both games. What kind of changes? Potentially explosive ones, if those missiles over Warzone’s Verdansk last week are anything to go by. Those nukes didn’t explode, but that just means there are a bunch of them embedded in the map, ready to go off at a moments notice. So, say goodbye to Verdansk while you can and look forward to a new map, potentially with a brand new 80s aesthetic.

Also, there’s that pesky zombie invasion to worry about. Most recently, the undead horde began occupying the Verdansk Superstore. All the more reason to nuke the place, really.

Not that we have anything to go on other than rumour, teasers, and speculation. Treyarch is being very sneaky this time.
