You’re not crazy, your stats really weren’t updating correctly during the Apex Legends Second Chance LTM.
Apex Legends launched its War Games event yesterday, kicking off two weeks of revolving limited time modes with the Second Chance playlist takeover. In Second Chance, you get one free respawn when you die, allowing you to return to the battle field with all your gear to wreak bloody vengeance or to make a strategic escape. It was chaotic carnage and pretty fun, at least until your end-game stats revealed you came in 0th place with zero kills, knocks, damage, etc. But was it still updating correctly in the background? You weren’t paying attention and then you forgot to pay attention the next match, repeat.
Turns out, no, it wasn’t, so Respawn made an early-morning announcement that Second Chance will be replaced with Armor Regen until they can figure the problem out.
Hi! A bug with the Second Chance takeover in @PlayApex has prevented some stats from updating correctly.
We’re adjusting the War Games schedule to release the Armor Regen takeover now, so you can keep making progress on event challenges.
The update rolls out over the next hour.

Armor Regen is, as the name suggests, the LTM where your armour regenerates over time. Also you won’t be able to loot shield cells.
