An inventory-wiping bug from the demo seems to have followed Outriders into the full launch, but do not despair, there is hope for getting your beloved loot back.
People Can Fly has acknowledged a bug in Outriders that completely empties the player’s inventory, including equipped items, leaving them to wander the wastes of Enoch in their space undies. The Reddit post doesn’t indicate the cause of the bug, but multiple comments suggest it has something to do with getting disconnected while joining a game. Although it could just be related to getting disconnected in general. People Can Fly is currently working on server stability as their main priority, so that should help.
The same bug was also fairly prevalent in the Outriders demo, but people tend to get less upset about losing demo loot since you couldn’t progress your character particularly far. Fortunately, there should be a way for everyone to get their loot back, the developers are just working on the best way to do that: one-on-one or via mass restoration through the backend.
Instead of quitting Outriders in a fit of rage, some players have taken the inventory wipe as an extra challenge, charging into battle in their underwear to earn back their lost loot, which is a spirited testament to how much people are enjoying the game.
