Alongside yesterday’s launch of the new Airship map in Among Us, developers Innersloth also announced their future plans and the fact that plushie Crewmates are now on sale from their official store.
The Airship update, that went live on 31 March, added a big new map with new gameplay features, tasks, and cosmetic items. Some players are reporting that it’s a little too big for the current maximum player count, so it’s probably a good thing that increasing lobby sizes is on Innersloth’s to-do list.
According to a recent blog update, the developers intend to increase the lobby size to 15 (currently capped at 10) so legitimate Crewmates won’t feel quite so isolated on larger maps. You can also look forward to an art style update, with cleaner lines and the benefit of an easier animation process. Innersloth is also committing to a more transparent development process going forward, which they may well regret, given the charming nature of many gaming communities.
Most importantly, you can now buy official Among Us Crewmate plushies from their store. Live out your best Imposter life by going on a plushie massacre or just, y’know, put them around your house and take photos of them in tiny hats – you do you. The Crewmate plushies are available in 12 different colours.
The official Among Us store does deliver to South Africa but probably through the post office, and you know how that is…
