Monster Hunter Rise released for the Nintendo Switch last week and, if you snagged a copy, you should be aware that save files are getting corrupted when equipping gestures from DLC Pack 1.
Capcom is fully aware that equipping the Action/Hurt Pose gestures from the DLC may cause your save files to become unusable, when you next open the game, and they’re working as fast as they can to find a fix.
We’re aware of an issue with the Action/Hurt Pose DLC gestures where setting either to the action bar and quitting the game can cause an error preventing you from opening the same save file the next time you launch the game.
We’re working on an update to fix this ASAP.

According to Game Rant, the offending gestures are part of DLC Pack 1, a paid DLC pack that includes a number of desirable cosmetic items.
In the meantime, the official suggestion for not accidentally breaking your save game is to “avoid setting these gestures to the action bar (or remove them if you already have), and use them from the start menu only”.
To make it clear, simply owning the Day 1 DLC pack isn’t going to break anything, so go frolic with your Nine Tails Palico all you want – I know that’s the real reason you bought the DLC anyway.
