If you haven’t had a chance to play the free Outriders demo yet, the latest trailer includes everything you need to know before next week’s launch. Also, you can still play the demo, it’s not going anywhere.
Developed by People Can Fly and published by Square Enix, Outriders is a co-op, sci-fi, RPG shooter, for up to three players, set on the hostile planet of Enoch. You play as an Outrider in one of four mysteriously enhanced classes (Technomancer, Trickster, Pyromancer, and Devastator), each with unique, branching skill trees that allow you to customise your character abilities to your liking. You’ll be facing down all manner of hyper-evolved monsters, with a variety of customisable weapons at your disposal, as you journey across the planet in search of the source of a mysterious signal that may offer some hope to the struggling human population.
If you play the demo, encompassing the prologue and opening chapter, your experience and everything you’ve earned will carry over to the full game.
Outriders is due to launch on 1 April for PC (Steam, EGS, and NVIDIA GeForce NOW), Xbox (including Xbox Game Pass from day one), PlayStation, and Stadia.
