It only launched this month, but Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKR comic series is already getting adapted into a live-action film and animated series for Netflix. Such is the power of Keanu.
BRZRKR is a 12-issue limited comic series from BOOM! Studios, co-written by Reeves, that follows the immortal half-god warrior known as B, cursed with a compulsion for violence, who has taken to working for the US government, fighting the fights too dangerous for anyone else. Why? Because they seem to be the only ones that know the truth of what he is and how to finally put an end to his “blood-soaked existence”. The first issue came out on 3 March.
Now, Netflix has announced that the comic is being developed into a live-action film, starring Reeves, and an animated sequel series, employing the voice talents of Reeves.
Exciting news! Netflix is developing a live action film AND follow-up anime series based on Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKR, a brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior’s 80,000 year fight through the ages. Reeves will produce and star in the film, and voice the anime. pic.twitter.com/RVWEuBCXTJ
