If you love Netflix’s The Dragon Prince, you may be interested to know that a board game based on the series is being released this year.
Created by Brotherwise Games, The Dragon Prince: Battlecharged is a card-based, tactical, miniatures board game, for two-to-six players, in which two teams of up to three heroes/villains face off in fast-paced duels on a variety of battle maps. You can choose to play as one of eight characters from the award-winning series, including Rayla, Ezran, Callum, Amaya, Janai, Viren, Claudia, and Soren, each represented by a detailed miniature, and sporting their own unique fighting style.
The base game comes with eight miniatures, six battle maps, and 128 action cards.
If you’ve never heard of The Dragon Prince, you can find three seasons of the epic animated fantasy series on Netflix, with four more coming in the future. It follows prince half-brothers Callum and Ezran, and elf Rayla on their journey to reunite the infant dragon prince Azymondias with his mother and end a thousand-year conflict between the human and magical kingdoms of Xadia. It is a delight, even for adults, and I highly recommend it.
The Dragon Prince: Battlecharged is due to launch some time around September/October this year.
