Face it, Red Dead Online fans, Rockstar’s not going to make ranching happen, but feel free to drown your sorrows in Wild West Dynasty until that inevitability disappoints you, as well.
It’s not quite the same as Red Dead Online (there has been zero mention of horse-ball physics, for one), but Wild West Dynasty ticks most of the boxes when it comes to what fans of RDO really want – town building, ranches, for time to pass, to feel something again.
Wild West Dynasty, much like the other Dynasty games published by Toplitz Productions, is a single-player game about survival and building up a settlement, this time in the 1800’s Wild West instead of medieval Europe.
You play as a lonesome cowboy (cowgirls hadn’t been invented yet) who, having claimed an abandoned ranch as his own, must build it up in order to attract other settlers, in order to build a fully-fledged town that you will have to maintain and defend from bandits. Find a wife, father an heir, and your settlement will live on into eternity, or at least until Red Dead Redemption 3 comes out.
Wild West Dynasty is due to release for PC some time in 2022.
