Manage your expectations. When I say tiny Mass Effect crossover, I mean it.
Observant Xbox Series X owners may have spotted an accidental Apex Legends item leak recently, as the console dashboard displayed a new Perk, ripe for claiming, in the form of what appears to be an N7 gun charm. N7 is an Alliance military designation in the Mass Effect universe, indicating the highest level of combat proficiency. Both games are published by EA.
The apparent mistake was discovered by a GameSpot reader and then confirmed by their staff. Attempts to redeem the offer just end up on the normal Perks page with no N7 charm in sight – someone messed up.
In Apex Legends, gun charms are tiny, cosmetic accessories for your guns that you can’t see most of the time and probably only exist as something for streamers to show off to their fans with. They’re cute, but they’re not going to change your life. That said, as a Mass Effect fan, I want an N7 gun charm, very much, and it seems it will only be available to Game Pass subscribers.
Also, maybe this is a hint that a larger Apex Legends x Mass Effect crossover exists, somewhere over the horizon. You never know. I mean, probably not, but YOU NEVER KNOW.
