Celebrating the moustache fetish franchise’s special 10 March event (MAR10, duh), Nintendo has discounted Mario games and merch on its local online eShop by 10 percent. The deals include the new remastered-with-extras Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, plushies, tees, and even this Mario Kart Live Home Circuit if you want to take your family drama to the next level.
Since the launch of Super Mario Bros on the NES in 1985, every subsequent Nintendo console has featured at least one new Super Mario series game, plus over 200 (!) other Mario games in between. And let’s not forget the 1993 movie, starring Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo, Dennis Hopper, and Samantha Mathis. Actually, let’s forget that one – but maybe not before taking a moment to appreciate the absolute MAD LADZ audacity of turning a fun game for kids into a dystopian bad trip. I almost get it, but it’s not those kind of mushrooms.
