Iron Gate’s mega-popular Early Access viking-’em-up introduces players to a “primordial purgatory”, a made-up tenth world that’s not actually included in Norse cosmology so I guess the rules are totally different? Suck it, physics.
As intrepid Reddit user HotGUUUUU demonstrates, Valheim’s sea water has some unconventional properties. For reasons that perhaps aren’t relevant to the science, this guy built an enormous slip-‘n’-slide and launched a longship on it. The results were… unexpected, probably.
After MANY failed launches, I present the Longship down the new and improved Mega Ramp (With Better FPS) from r/valheim
This reply, though.
Why is the water made out of trampoline
Now, obviously, the water isn’t made out of trampoline because that’s absurd – this is Valheim, not Cirque du Soleilheim.
But let’s consider a more realistic hypothesis. Remember, every Norse world is connected to Yggdrasil, which is a tree. The physics at work are already inherently questionable, and if Midgard’s clouds are Ymir’s brains, it’s entirely plausible – consistent, even – that the seas of Valheim could be the gelatinised dregs of, like, his spleen. That, or it’s a glitch because the code doesn’t make contingencies for super-accelerated objects colliding with water from altitude. I dunno.
