It’s got all the blood and gore of The Boys, but animated.
Adapted for Amazon Prime from Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker’s comic book series of the same name, Invincible follows Mark Grayson (voiced by The Walking Dead’s Stephen Yeun), a normal teenager who inherits his father’s super-human powers when he turns 17 and must learn to control them, so that he can help protect the Earth from all of the things that would do it harm, like aliens. Unlike the majority of mainstream super hero origin stories, Invincible’s learning curve is pretty steep and soaked in blood.
Episodes will be an hour long and feature an exceptional voice cast, including J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Gillian Jacobs, Zachary Quinto, Jason Mantzoukas, Djimon Hounsou, Mark Hamill, Mahershala Ali, and Seth Rogen.
Invincible launches with its first episode on Amazon Prime on 26 March and weekly releases will follow from 30 April.
