If you’ve been wanting to play the Kingdom Hearts series of games on your PC then you don’t have much longer to wait.
Kingdom Hearts, the beloved JRPG x Disney/Pixar mashup series of games by Square Enix, originally confined to consoles, is finally coming to PC by way of the Epic Games Store. Yes, almost all of the Final Fantasy games may be on Steam, but Kingdom Hearts is going the EGS route for… reasons. At least for now.
Kingdom Hearts is an action RPG series in which you play as protagonist Sora as he works his way through many adventures involving a whole lot of Disney, Pixar, and Square Enix characters, with the whimsy dialled up to 11. Despite all that, the games can get pretty dark at times, and the story has some depth, so they’re not necessarily “just for kids”.
Available on the Epic Games Store from 30 March, the Kingdom Hearts games will be grouped into four instead of being sold as individual units:
- KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX – R790
- KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue – R910
- KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind DLC – R910
- KINGDOM HEARTS Melody of Memory – R910
