Wolfenstein studio MachineGames is working on an Indiana Jones game

Publisher Bethesda has announced the new project with a trailer that doesn’t reveal much, not even an actual title. Do we know a guy who can dig for clues?

Okay, so we’ve got:

  • Some books about antiquity and the occult
  • A Marshall College mug
  • A ticket to Rome
  • A map of Vatican City
  • A drawing of a ziggurat
  • Rocks in a box
  • A gun, a camera, a whip, and a fedora
  • Prospects of fortune and glory, kid

Going on a preliminary analysis, it’s definitely an Indiana Jones game, you guys.

According to subsequent tweets from the recently excavated Lucasfilm Games label and developer MachineGames, it also features a totally new story, so we know it’s not based on one of the movies.

And in a press release on Bethesda’s website, company marketing VP Pete Hines adds that “Todd is a lifelong Indy fan, and has been trying for over a decade to make this game”, so that’s fun too.
