The provocative new big brain royale of over 1,000 gamers has also determined that Android users are smarter than iOS users, so you’ve got that one in your back pocket for the holiday season family lunch with your stupid Apple fanboy cousin. You know what to do.
Conducted by a team of “academics experts” at Royal Panda, the study tested participants in four categories – verbal intelligence, mathematical ability, logical reasoning, and visual reasoning – and depending on your cognitive biases, have now validated or entirely demolished your ego. Or, if you question the basic methodology of sorting IQ by arbitrary factors like “game” (who plays one game?), you can ignore this as mostly irrelevant.
Some of the experiment’s conclusions include:
- Rainbow Six Siege gamers on all platforms have the highest collective IQ at 120.3, with Among Us and Minecraft gamers in second and third with 118.9 and 116.3 respectively
- Angry Birds gamers are at the bottom, with the lowest collective IQ of 95.8
- Female gamers scored over male gamers with a collective IQ of 108.4 to 102.3, placing first in every category
- PC gamers are the master race with a collective IQ of 112.3, and PS4 gamers beat Xbox gamers 110.7 to 103.8
Remember that although multiple different IQ tests exist, most classify a score of about 100 as “average” and 120-plus as “above average”, so it’s not like gamers are even that special, anyway.
