Borderlands 3 Arms Race

Outrun the Murdercane in Borderlands 3 Arms Race

Only your guns can save you in the upcoming Arms Race DLC for Borderlands 3. And, no, it’s not a battle royale.

Gearbox finally revealed more details about Arms Race, the new co-op game mode coming to Borderlands 3 in the Designer’s Cut DLC. Arms Race strips away all your special abilities, gear, and skills and unleashes you as contestants on “the galaxy’s premier reality murder show” hosted by Axton and Salvador from BL2. The game show takes place in the Stormblind Complex, a new zone situated in an abandoned DAHL military base on Pandora.

Once you drop, gather as much gear as you can in a race against the ever-encroaching Murdercane (murder hurricane), and for your own survival against hordes of enemies, until you face up against Heavyweight Harker and claim victory, or death, whichever comes first. Succeed, and some shiny new legendaries await.

But wait, there’s more. All four Vault Hunters are also getting a Multiverse Final Form cosmetic body model upgrade that reimagines the quartet as if they never became Vault Hunters.

These cosmetic packs will be included for owners of the Next-Level, Super Deluxe, and Ultimate Edition versions of Borderlands 3 and they can be mixed and matched with existing skins and heads. I am here for Tiger-Amara, but I have questions about Zane’s new hair.

The Designer’s Cut DLC will be available from 10 November for a, so far unspecified, mystery price. You can also get it as part of Season Pass 2, for an equally mysterious price (probably around R800) or with the new Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition which includes all the content you could ever want and a gold weapon skin pack.
