rAge Digital Edition, from 6-8 November 2020 is a virtual event – the first in rAge’s 18 year history. Tickets are FREE and can be booked online now. And despite the fact that there won’t be any interaction at a real-world venue this year, rAge Digital Edition will be hosting a variety of panels and interactive events in the rAge Digital Edition Community Zone.
INTRODUCING BATTLE ROOM BRAWLS
As a veteran technology and gaming journalist, Regardt “DeadBird” van der Berg now heads up South Africa’s most entertaining mobile gaming platform that offers custom games and the latest insights into mobile gaming. As a freelance writer and video creator he spends most of his time creating insightful content for clients within the tech industry, but his passion for gaming keeps him in check.
Battle Room Brawls is a mobile gaming community aimed at casual gamers who want to enjoy prize sponsored games without having to be a competitive gamer. The idea was born while Regardt headed up content and creative for PUBGM Africa, a division of Tencent Africa. Mobile gaming is the most accessible way to play games – most people have a game-capable smartphone in their pocket, and there are loads of incredible titles to enjoy. Battle Room Brawls started with PUBG Mobile, and while it’s still the top title on the platform, other popular games include Battlelands, Among Us, Call Of Duty: Mobile, and even Dead by Daylight for those late-night scare-fests. Games range from normal fun rooms to prize-based games where gamers can win merch, cash or other cool gaming swag.
There’s also an active Discord community of gamers that support the streams and hosted games. Here, gamers can also register for special edition games like the much-loved PUBG Mobile Deathrace that happens every month. All games are streamed to Facebook and YouTube and gamers can jump in any game when they see the room game details posted. If you’re a casual gamer, get out your mobile device and join us.
