NAG presents the rAge Digital Edition Minecraft Build-A-Thing 2020 (with prizes!)

·

For rAge Digital Edition 2020, NAG is hosting a Minecraft super fun times party, and you’re invited to jump in and build whatever you want (okay, but with some limits). Over the expo weekend, we’ll be choosing some of our favourite builds according to creativity, ingenuity, and, who knows, maybe some other totally random things too. When rAge is over, we’ll open a public vote to decide the top builds out of these contenders.

HOW IT WORKS

  • We’re hosting four Minecraft servers for PC – two Bedrock servers and two Java servers.
  • Users can join a server and claim a plot to use. You can only build on this plot.
  • Creative mode is enabled, so you have unlimited access to building stuff.
  • PVP is disabled, sorry.
  • The server are live as of, like, now.

RULES AND OTHER IMPORTANT INFO

  • Be kiff, don’t be kak.
  • No obscene, racist, sexist, religious, political, or other potentially offensive content allowed.
  • You can capture video and screenshots, and stream as much as you want. Don’t forget to tag us on the socials and use the hashtag #rAgeMinecraftWorld.
  • There’s a concurrent player limit of 20 on each server. Please log out if you’re not busy working on your plot.
  • To be eligible for a prize, you must be a South African resident.
  • If you have questions, you can ask us on our Minecraft Discord channel. We’re here to help!
  • The competition closes on Monday 9 November 2020 at 17h00.

JAVA SERVER

  • Game version is 1.16.3, so make sure your game is updated to the same version.
  • The server IPs are: 197.80.200.68:10080 / 197.80.200.69:10120.
  • These servers are using the PlotSquared plugin to manage plots. To claim a plot, enter an empty plot, press T, and type /plot claim. This plot is now yours. You can find out more about this plugin, including a complete list of supported commands, over here.

BEDROCK SERVER

  • Game version is 1.16.200, so make sure your game is updated to the same version.
  • The server IPs are: 197.80.200.68:19152 / 197.80.200.68:19142.
  • These servers are using the MyPlot plugin to manage plots. To claim a plot, enter an empty plot, press /, and type /plot claim. This plot is now yours. You can find out more about this plugin, including a complete list of supported commands, over here.

OKAY, BUT WHAT ABOUT A SERVER FOR CONSOLE VERSIONS OF THE GAME?!

  • Minecraft is complicated. It’s theoretically possible to add a custom server to console versions of Minecraft, but we haven’t tested it. If you manage to make it work, let us know.

WHAT CAN I WIN?!

  • Incredible Connection have kindly sponsored gift vouchers and Mode have kindly sponsored official Minecraft t-shirts. These will be awarded to the top builds that get the most community votes.
