I mean, you get to fight zombies, so, technically, this is correct.
Halloween has arrived in Red Dead Online and that means there’s a never-before-seen Halloween Pass for you to spend all that hoarded Gold on, but also a new limited-time game mode called Dead of Night, which is the closest you’re going to get to Red Dead Redemption’s Undead Nightmare.
In Dead of Night, four teams must fight for survival against each other and The Dead. You’ll get points for everything you murder, bonus points if they were alive at the time, and, if you find the Night Stalker mask, you’ll get supernatural powers to aid you in your murder spree. Complete a round of Dead of Night this week and you’ll get triple the usual payout and some more ammo to store at the post office.
If that’s not your thing, there are two new legendary panthers to hunt down and photograph/murder depending on your mood and how many maulings you’re willing to succumb to before you say “fuck it” and shoot them in their majestic faces. If you do skin the Nightwalker or Ghost panther, head on over to Gus and get him to make you a new panther hat. If it’s all too much, head on over to Harriet and play dead as a opossum for a while – you do you, boah.
