Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity gameplay features aggressive apple consumption

The most recent Nintendo Treehouse livestream featured gameplay from upcoming Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and it looks like Breath of the Wild fans should get some hype.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a two-player, hack and slash, button mashing adventure that takes place 100 years before the events of the Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It tells the story of the Great Calamity, a period of violent upheaval that left much of Hyrule in ruins and many dead, including the majority of the Champions.

In Age of Calamity, playable characters include Zelda, Link, Champions Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa, and the Sheikah warrior Impa. Each character has their own unique weapons, special attacks, and reactions to food recipes. You will also be able to collect and equip three types of armour (head, chest, legs) that you can mix and match for different buffs or as an expression of your fierce aesthetic.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is coming to the Nintendo Switch on 20 November 2020.
