Ubisoft Forward is back for more this week

Promising “new announcements, new worlds, and big surprises”, Ubisoft next online hypestream is live, loud, and in your lounge so that’s convenient, Thursday night at 21:00 local time. You don’t even have to cancel your plans because what plans, we’re in a pandemic.

And since it’s not like you’re busy, anyway, you can also tune into the pre-show from 20:00, according to the publisher’s website, for some news about Brawlhalla, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and other games but probably not Elite Squad because… awkward.

Ubisoft has been the subject of multiple controversies in 2020, including but not limited to the exits of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla creative director Ashraf Ismail and company co-founder and vice-president Maxime Béland, and the suspension of several top-level execs subsequent to sexual misconduct allegations, and employee complaints about a “frat house” culture at the Paris office. The Elite Squad thing was the organic micro-turd garnish on a shit sandwich.

Can Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s chønky bøys make up for it? I’m going to feminist hell for this, maybe, but I vote yes, and besides, feminist hell isn’t even real unless you count existing as a woman in the same space-time continuum as Ben Shapiro. I mean, it counts, but feminist hell wouldn’t have a mute button, and how did I get from Ubisoft Forward to this? Don’t do ADHD, kids.
