Activision has debuted the first cinematic campaign trailer for 2020’s Call of Duty, confirming a “direct sequel” to the original Black Ops and the re-deployment of covert operatives Frank Woods, Jason Hudon, and Alex “What Do The Numbers Mean” Mason.
Much like 2010’s game, Black Ops Cold War’s campaign is a mega-mix of historical people and events, including US president Ronald Reagan, Soviet KGB agent Perseus, and the ever-imminent prospect of atomic extinction, and some narrative licence to excuse whatever questionable scheme the CIA is involved in this time (probably).
Besides the campaign, the game also features the series-standard multiplayer modes and a new iteration of Zombies, plus special Warzone content. We can expect more intel about those things in “the weeks ahead”, according to the announcement.
Game’s out on 13 November.
