No, I mean a specific lamp post.
Cars were added to Fortnite last week, which means you can now charge around the island in the motorised vehicle of your choosing, from the chonky Mudflap to the sleek and shiny Whiplash, as long as you keep it fuelled. And, with great updates, comes great bugs, so players are reporting strange behaviour related to the newly-added cars.
It seems that, if you drive into a specific lamp post in Misty Meadows, you’ll get insta-eliminated while your car lives on, oblivious to your suffering. An excellent teaching moment about the importance of driving safely, but also not something that’s meant to happen in the game. Generally, you can bump into all manner of objects in Fortnite without taking damage and you probably will hit a lot of things, since the handling can be a little tricky and you’ll be wanting to mow down any pedestrian opponents you come across.
Cars also seem to have the potential to outrun the map, meaning you can end up underneath it, and very dead, in areas around Pleasant Park and Lazy Lake.
So, drive safe and hopefully these car bugs will get fixed soon.
