Rampart is an expert modder with a mini-gun named Sheila and, potentially, the ability to put up shields. But she’s not all that’s coming to Apex Legends Season 6, because we’re also getting crafting, a new gun, and spray paint.
What does crafting mean? Not really sure, yet, but the little information Respawn has provided suggests you’ll be able to collect parts from around the map to improve your weapons and gear. It doesn’t look like it’s going all Fortnitey with actual buildings, though. The new gun is the Volt SMG, so everyone can stop crying about the lack of new weaponry in Season 5. The Volt SMG, a gun that fires concentrated bolts of energy, will be familiar to those that played Titanfall 2.
Then, you’ve got spray paint, or Holo-Sprays, that probably function the same way they do in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. I see a Rampart-themed, spray-all-the-things Town Takeover in our future. Looks like Holo-Sprays will be included in the new Battle Pass, along with the one hundred new items that will be available to unlock.
Apex Legends is free to play on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 with a Nintendo Switch port coming some time around September/October 2020. Season 6 should begin around 18 August.
