Mortal Shell is an upcoming action-RPG, similar to Dark Souls and developed by Cold Symmetry, in which you possess the shells of defeated warriors in order to gain an edge in combat that is “strategic, deliberate, and unforgiving”.
This gameplay trailer features Tiel, one of four shells you can possess in order to access four enhanced combat styles as you journey through a broken world, on a quest to discover your true purpose, while murdering all the monsters.
A previous gameplay trailer featured another of the shells; Eredrim:
Mortal Shell has no set release date, as yet, but it is meant to come out in the third quarter of 2020, which should be sometime before October. You’ll be able to get it on PC (timed EGS exclusive with a Steam release due in 2021), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
