Ubisoft is putting together its own digital showcase to replace what would have been on display at this year’s cancelled E3. So, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla trailers, mostly.
Due to global attempts to reduce the spread of coronavirus infections, pretty much all of 2020’s physical video game conferences have been cancelled. This includes E3, which usually happens in June. As a replacement, a number of games studios are planning their own, digital events instead, because the internet still exists, and Ubisoft recently announced that its event is called Ubisoft Forward.
Save the Date! Join us July 12 for Ubisoft Forward, a fully digital showcase with exclusive game news, reveals and more 🎉 Stay tuned… #UbiForward pic.twitter.com/JLYEyF1YnL

According to Ubisoft’s website, the event will be an ”E3-style showcase”, so expect trailers (probably even including gameplay) and, maybe, live streams with developers, or something – also majestic landscapes.
Ubisoft Forward will be taking place on 12 July 2020 at 21:00 SAST, which is about a month after EA and CD Projekt Red host their own digital showcase events. EA’s Play Live 2020 event will start at 01:00 SAST on 12 June (because time zones), while CD Projekt Red has yet to announce the time of their Night City Wire livestream, set to take place on 11 June 2020.
