The Borderlands Legendary Collection is coming to the Nintendo Switch with port developer Turn Me Up Games promising some serious performance.
The Borderlands Legendary Collection includes Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and all of the major associated DLC for each game (except for Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary). All three games will support co-op for both split-screen local and four-player online and will make use of new, optional, motion controls to make things like aiming extra “fun”.
Turn Me Up Games is running the development of the port, alongside Gearbox and 2K, and their website suggests that the Collection will run at 1080p and 30 FPS “with no downgrading of art assets” – a bold claim.
Be aware, if you were thinking of buying a physical copy of the game (to avoid the massive downloads), it only comes with Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, which requires an extra 6.6GB download to play, and you’ll have to download a further 35GB to get the rest of the Collection.
Since the Switch only comes with 32GB of internal storage space, you might want to consider getting some extra.
The Borderlands Legendary Collection for the Nintendo Switch is set to release on 29 May 2020. It’s launching alongside Switch ports of BioShock: The Collection and XCOM 2: The Collection.
