I mean, if you’re not all worn out with apocalypse fatigue by then. At least this one is nuclear.
Endzone – A World Apart, developed by Gentlymad Studios and published by Assemble Entertainment and WhisperGames, is an indie, settlement-building, survival game set 150 years after terrorists blew up a whole bunch of the world’s nuclear power plants (#becausewhynot), forcing survivors into underground facilities, called Endzones (NOT Vaults). They have now returned to the the surface to eke out a living in the ever-changing, ever-hostile, environment.
Threats to your settlers include radiation, drought, toxic rainstorms, and sand storms. Since the environment is dynamic, safety won’t always be where you expect it to be, but you must persist for the sake of civilisation; gathering resources, building up your town infrastructure, and managing the economy. You can also send out expeditions to explore for lost treasures in the hope of finding something that could take your settlers from surviving to thriving.
Also, the development studio is planting trees based on how many Steam users add Endzone to their wishlist, to help ward off the climate apocalypse. There are a lot of apocalypses to worry about, okay?
