Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is out now and included on the Xbox Game Pass

The Ori and the Blind Forest sequel released today and you can play it for practically nothing if you’ve got the Xbox Game Pass.

Developed by Moon Studios and published by Xbox Game Studios, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a Metroidvania-style platform adventure game. You play as guardian spirit Ori who must embark on a puzzle-filled quest to discover the truth about his destiny.

The game features the same gorgeous, hand-painted, artwork, fully orchestrated score, and emotional storytelling you remember from Blind Forest, but with some changes. You will see improvements to combat, the inclusion of auto-save, and removal of sequential upgrades in favour of a shard system. Don’t worry, it’ll probably still make you cry.

Since Will of the Wisps is published by Xbox Game Studios it has been added to the Xbox Game Pass collection from day one. The Game Pass, by itself, currently costs R159 per month for consoles and R69 per month for PCs (as an introductory offer), but there is a bundle that includes Xbox Gold membership and the Game Pass for both console and PC for R15.90 (for your first month) and then R199 per month thereafter – that’s a pretty good deal if you’re already paying for Gold every month.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is out now for PC and Xbox One.
