Soon, Aloy’s post-apocalyptic, bot bashing adventures will no longer be exclusive to PlayStation players.
According to a recent PlayStation.Blog post, that included an interview with the head of PlayStation’s Worldwide Studios, Hermen Hulst, Horizon Zero Dawn will be arriving on PC this year.
Yes, I can confirm that Horizon Zero Dawn is coming to PC this summer…
Hulst used to be the managing director of Guerrilla Games, the development studio behind Horizon Zero Dawn.
Horizon Zero Dawn is an open world, action RPG that takes place in the 31st century, where humans live in scattered tribes in a world dominated by robotic creatures, simply known as “machines”. The machines normally co-exist peacefully with the humans, who occasionally hunt them for tech supplies, but an affliction, known as the “Derangement”, has caused some to become extremely aggressive. You play as Aloy, an outcast with augmented perception abilities and a mysterious heritage.
Horizon Zero Dawn garnered high praise, for its aesthetics, character development, combat, and depth, when it was first released, for the PlayStation 4, in 2017.
The PC port is already listed on Steam and includes the Frozen Wilds expansion. We should see it release some time around June/July this year, which is when Summer starts in the US, because hemispheres.
