Looks like Call of Duty: Warzone is bringing its battle royale A game.
Warzone will launch with two game modes: Plunder and Battle Royale. Both modes take place on the Verdansk map, feature three-player squads, and support up to 150 players. In Plunder, you have 30 minutes to gather the most loot from whatever source you can – the team with the most Cash wins. In Battle Royale, you fight for survival while a gas cloud encroaches on the battle field – the usual battle royale situation.
However, death is a little different in Warzone. The first time you are eliminated, you’ll be sent to the Gulag to enter a 1v1 fight against another downed player. If you win, you get to respawn. If you lose, you’ll have to wait until your teammates have gathered enough Cash to bring you back. You better be worth it.
Warzone will also support crossplay between PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
I was sold as soon as I saw the dog.
Those that already own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be able to download Warzone from 17:00 SAST (at 15/22GB) while everyone else will gain access to the download from 21:00 SAST (at 80/100GB).
