No Time to Die

No Time to Die delayed until November due to effects of the coronavirus

This is no time to die because you went out to watch a movie.

Although, the delay of the release of the 25th Bond film, No Time to Die, isn’t explicitly about public safety concerns and has more to do with box office performance.

No Time to Die was originally due for release in April and is the first major film to be delayed due to the impact of the coronavirus. Due to attempts to curb the spread of COVID-19, many cinemas in heavily affected countries have been closed and people are generally avoiding going to public spaces for fear of catching the coronavirus. This means that any movie being released anytime soon will have a much harder time at the box office than they potentially would have, had the world not been in the grip of a new pandemic.

If anyone is looking for an easy explainer for how panicked they should be about COVID-19, I recommend the most recent episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. No, really, it’s actually very informative.
