But they didn’t even get Peter Cullen for the voice of Optimus Prime, so what’s even the point?
Netflix has a trilogy of animated Transformers series in the works, starting with Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy: Siege. We know it’s a trilogy, because it’s right there in the name amongst all those colons.
Cybertron is at war, Megatron is after the Allspark (which he intends to use to on the Autobots for re-education purposes), and Optimus is getting ready to book it off to Earth because Megatron has always been the charismatic one and things aren’t looking good. This is what happens when you choose to transform into things like trucks and Volkswagen Beetles while your opponents are all jacked up in the latest Deathenator 5000 murder jets. Trucks don’t have guns, Optimus, this is why you fail at everything.
Siege is made up of six episodes, each 22 minutes long, and will be followed by Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy: Earthrise. There is no actual release date, yet, but it is “coming soon”.
Yes, obviously, I’m going to watch it. How about you?
