Thanks to a tweet by Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, we now know that the undead anti-hero will be the next playable character coming to Mortal Kombat 11, after the Joker made his debut in January.

McFarlane’s post gives us a sneak peek at what Spawn will look like in the game (he’s got a sword now) and the official Mortal Kombat Twitter account’s response suggests that Spawn will be unlocked, as a playable character, on 8 March 2020, for those with the Kombat Pack DLC.
What will Spawn’s finishing move be? Never one to shy away from the gore, I have to assume it’ll be something to do with being sent to hell and getting violated by, well, the Violator.
I’m mildly disappointed that it seems like he won’t be wielding the axe he had in Soulcalibur II.
