Before you get too excited, it’s a mobile game.
This morning, Square Enix announced on Twitter that it has an “all-new Kingdom Hearts experience planned for Spring 2020!”. The working title for this mobile experience is Project Xehanort and Square wants you to try guess the real name before the 28th of January.
Welcome to the official Twitter page for “Project Xehanort”, an all-new KINGDOM HEARTS experience planned for Spring 2020!

All we know about the new game/experience is that it seems to be about Xehanort, the time-jumping, primary antagonist throughout much of the Kingdom Hearts series, and, if the Project Xehanort website is anything to go by, why he became “the seeker of darkness”. Was it the existential dread? I bet it was.
So, go on, guess the game name and maybe you’ll win something. If it helps, the last mobile game in the Kingdom Hearts series was called Kingdom Hearts Union X[Cross].
The mystery Project Xehanort should be out for iOS and Android devices some time around May/June 2020.
